Many local startups have gotten a jumpstart in Ben Franklin’s TechCelerator program. Currently, eight local entrepreneurial teams are in the process of completing the 10-week, business startup boot camp and preparing to pitch for a $10,000 prize. The group represents an exciting mix of emerging products and services including: industrial robotics, smart home platforms, data management tools, a digital AI system, a physical plasma catheter to replace open-heart surgeries, scalp treatment to prevent chemotherapy hair loss, a hammock camping system and UVC light for sanitation.
On Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022, at 2 p.m., the teams will pitch their business concepts to a panel of independent judges for a cash prize of up to $10,000. Virtual audience members will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite presentation and award a cash prize of $1,000 in the People’s Choice Award.
