Materials Day 2023, a marquee event for the materials community, is scheduled for October 26-27. The registration deadline is October 19.
Materials Day is designed to share Penn State’s vast materials research knowledge and infrastructure with its industrial and government research and service partners. Plan to attend if you want to be informed about materials at Penn State or if you are looking to identify graduating students for future positions.
This year’s theme is Materials. Research. Workforce. Innovations for Future Manufacturing.
Keynotes are planned on topics including:
- Material, Manufacturing, and Aerospace in 2030: Inventing the Stuff that Makes the Future
- Future Opportunities in Additive Manufacturing: Multidisciplinary Teaming and Adoption of Emerging Technologies
- Strategies for Winning the Talent Supply Chain War in High-tech Manufacturing
- An update and overview of the Mid-Atlantic Semiconductor Hub (MASH).
The event will also feature breakout sessions, graduate student poster sessions, industry-sponsored tabletops, lunch, and several networking opportunities.
