Smarter parking, smarter transportation, long-lasting traffic safety – those are three of the ways All Traffic Solutions is revolutionizing communities, one roadway at a time. All Traffic Solutions brings IoT into the transportation arena, innovating and striving to make a difference. It serves a large customer base of more than 5,000 municipalities, commercial organizations and law enforcement agencies across all 50 states and in 20 countries around the world. Notable customers include the City of Boston, Dupont, UCLA and our very own Penn State University.
While the company is headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, All Traffic Solutions engineers and manufactures its parking and traffic solutions right here in Happy Valley. Those products include TraffiCloud, a secure, web-based traffic device and data management system that allows users to create their own future-forward traffic management platform. It empowers users to seamlessly view and print reports, access traffic devices, deliver dynamic messaging and make data-driven traffic management decisions.
Similarly, product ParkingCloud is an innovative solution that integrates existing and new technology and devices, while providing a single platform to access data, with a simple, user-friendly dashboard. ParkingCloud automatically counts the number of vehicles coming in and out of spaces, lots and garages; provides lot and zone counts for tracking and planning; and offers the ability to direct parkers to available spaces efficiently while providing real-time availability to drivers.
ATS also offers law enforcement's next go-to solution for accurate speed measurement. DragonEye Speed Lidar is a lightweight, handheld device that's accurate from up to 6,000 feet away. Its true color display and rugged design make it comfortable and practical. Additionally, it automatically uploads each target acquisition to the Trafficloud and features an obstruction mode to enable targeting through fences, trees and wires.
However, these new solutions are hardly “new” for ATS. The company has a history of paving the road toward smarter traffic solutions. In 2013, it became the first company to utilize connected sensors to collect and transmit traffic data to a centralized database, when it patented its cloud-based SmartApps technology. It was also the first to offer a cross-manufacturer trade-in program for traffic safety equipment, the first to create connected traffic signs, the first to innovate ultra-portable speed display signs and the first to create variable message boards and radar speed signs that could work and communicate with one another.
Not only does this innovative company bring IoT to transportation to offer smarter solutions, but it also boasts a culture forged in social responsibility.
In addition to encouraging its employees to participate in the annual United Way Day of Caring, which planted more than 300 flowers and shrubs at a Happy Valley nursing facility, the company also recently launched a new initiative. In recognition of how challenging the recent months have been for law enforcement, particularly police departments in smaller communities who don't have the budget for, and don't qualify for grants to help them attain, All Traffic Solutions signs, the company launched its ATS Gives Back Initiative in August 2020.
While the company is headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, All Traffic Solutions engineers and manufactures its parking and traffic solutions right here in Happy Valley.
“We have been donating free signs and support for years, especially during natural disasters,” explained CEO Andy Souders. “We are taking it up a notch during this global crisis with this new program formalizing what we were already doing. We are always looking for new ways to collaborate with our law enforcement partners and give back to those in need right now.”
The company chooses two police departments every month to receive radar feedback signs and a subscription to TrafficCloud.
ATS has been offering industry-leading technology for traffic safety and data analytics for Intelligent Transportation Systems, along with smart parking innovations since 1999. The company works with law enforcement and other organizations to make the roadways safer with conditional messaging technology, web-enabled radar speed displays and lidar technology. Its smart parking solutions simplify parking for both drivers and lot holders by optimizing availability and facilitating notification sharing.
