Private equity is investing millions into Happy Valley, and for good reason. Happy Valley industry is pioneering world-changing breakthroughs like magnets that can target cancer in cells, live stream innovation for sports, news and emergency services and is leading the nation in utility bill accounting and energy management solutions.

On June 22, media pioneer Videon announced $7.3 million in Series A funding, led by Voyager Capital, allowing them to “expand its senior leadership, engineering, marketing, and sales teams, enabling it to bring its unique video compute platform to more customers worldwide.” See their story here. 

In May, Resurgens Technology Partners invested in EnergyCap to deepen customer acquisition strategies, expand into adjacent end markets, accelerate technology innovations and execute acquisitions to expand its product breadth. Read more about how the collaboration will drive growth here. 

In January, immunomagnetic technology company BioMagnetic Solutions finalized a multimillion dollar acquisition by Gamma Biosciences, a life sciences tool platform created by global private equity firm KKR. BioMagnetic Solutions will continue to operate independently, but with all the immense benefits of being part of the world’s most prestigious global private equity company. In January, sustainable fertilizer start-up Phospholutions, Inc. announced $10.3 million in Series A funding led by Continental Grain Company. They said that the funding will be used to accelerate growth and allow the company to address larger market opportunities. After focusing its launch on turf and ornamental markets, Phospholutions plans to use the investment to focused on establishing a farmer network and partnerships necessary to commercialize these applications. “We anticipate more than doubling our team over the next year to support our entry into broad-acre crop production,” says Phospholutions’ CEO, Hunter Swisher.
