Arize Federal Credit Union
Description
Arize Federal Credit Union, originally established in 1978 as SPE by eight HRB Singer employees, began with a simple lockbox and quickly outgrew its first office in a converted closet. Over the years, it evolved from a state-chartered to a federally chartered credit union, expanding membership beyond the initial employer group to include anyone in Centre County, PA. Following a merger with Huntingdon County Federal Credit Union in 2011, SPE served over 10,000 members. In 2021, it rebranded as Arize to better reflect its mission. The credit union recently expanded to include additional counties and opened a new solar-powered branch on Benner Pike.
