Sensor Networks, Inc. (SNI) is starting 2021 off with a bang. The IIoT company, which specializes in ultrasonic and visual technologies for remote monitoring within the energy sector, recently announced that it would be growing in real estate, solutions and talent.
“Last year was a little rough in the second and third quarters while our customers and markets were trying to assess the extent of Covid-19’s impact,” says SNI’s Co-founder and Vice President of Marketing Bruce Pellegrino. “Things started looking better in the fourth quarter of 2020 and we were pleased to be able to keep our team intact and fully employed throughout the year.”
This spring, they are expanding their facility by reclaiming about 2,000 square feet of building space that had previously been unusable. With the new space, they will be offering a new Hi-Def Pan-Tilt-Zoom video product line that includes a brand-new three-inch-diameter industrial inspection camera.
“Industrial HDTV technology allows our nuclear plant customers to perform inspections more efficiently with a higher level of confidence in the test results,” says Product Manager Jeff Drost.

In addition to expanding their physical location and product offering, SNI is also adding talent to their team. “SNI continues to invest in growth so we can better serve our customers. This spring, that includes bringing four new people aboard,” Pellegrino says.
Mark Partika, who recently retired from GE Aviation in Cincinnati, OH, will be bringing decades-long experience in phased-array ultrasonic inspection applications to SNI. Levi McCarty, a Penn State alumnus, will be working with Remote Visual Inspection Product Manager Jeff Drost. Cynthia Meader will be joining the team as office manager, bringing 27 years of experience. And Kyler Stauffer, who graduated from Mifflin County Academy of Science and Technology in 2019, will be SNI’s youngest team member. He will be working as a journeyman/apprentice in SNI’s machine shop which operates three CNC machines over three shifts.
